"Together in God's grace, may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly"

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Vision and Values

We are a Church of England School and are work closely with both Emmanuel Church and All Saints with Holy Trinity. We also have links with New Springs City Church and Elim Church.

In school we have a daily act of worship, this is either as a whole school or in smaller Key stage or class groups. Religious Education is taught by all class teachers following Leicestershire guidelines. Children learn about the Christian religion in a non-denominational framework and are taught about events, stories and practices of other world religions.  Under the Education Reform Act you have the right to withdraw your child from Religious Education or Assemblies.

Our Mission Statement

Together in God's grace may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly.

We believe that we are all special to God and uniquely made in his image. With high expectations of children's achievements, we will strive to ensure that all our pupils know they are valued and that they aspire to be the very best that they can be.

Christian worship and values, alongside excellent teaching, will provide our pupils with secure roots and foundations to enable them to aim high and fly!

Children will be given the 'roots to grow' through our school Christian values:

Forgiveness: 'Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive others.' Colossians 3:13

Respect: 'Do to others as you would have them do to you.' Matthew 7:12

Perseverance: 'I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.' Philippians 4:13

Peace: 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and good will toward men.' Luke 2:14

Compassion:'When Jesus saw the crowd his heart was filled with compassion, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.' Mark 6:34

Justice: 'Learn to do right. Seek justice.' Isaiah 1:17

With the 'wings to fly' our children will be able to:

  • Flourish and succeed at school, and have high aspirations for themselves
  • Have confidence and resilience to face challenges, explore the world, think for themselves and make informed choices
  • Play a positive role in a diverse and inclusive community

We want all children at Loughborough Church of England Primary School to do their best in all areas of the curriculum in a caring, supportive and comfortable learning environment.

As a Church school, we believe that our school environment should reflect our commitment to Christian values. We are an inclusive school and children will receive the best possible start to their education at Loughborough Church of England Primary School. We welcome all parents as partners and will foster positive home school links. We aim to enable pupils to become independent and self-motivated learners.
