A Brief History of Our School
Loughborough C of E Primary School has a rich history rooted in the local community. Our school was officially opened on November 14th, 1989, by the then Bishop of Leicester. It was formed by bringing together two long-established Church of England schools in Loughborough, Emmanuel C.E. (Aided) Primary School and Warner C.E. (Aided) Primary School, both of which had served the town for many years.
As these schools grew older, the need for a more modern and unified learning environment became clear. In 1989, they combined on our current site on William Street. Today, only the Emmanuel school building remains, while the Warner school was demolished to make way for the new bypass.
This coming together created the strong, caring, and faith-centred community we continue to nurture and grow today.
